Sezin Gedik

Sezin Gedik is an illustrator and pattern designer currently living and working in İstanbul.

Mama Circus was started up in 2019 with the aim of creating joyful, colorful illustrations, patterns and products. Sezin is mostly inspired by nature, vintage toys, children books, as well as childhood dreams and whimsy figures that belong to old times. 

​

Mama Circus art prints are created for bringing unique spirit to both adults' and little ones' spaces  Also, Mama Circus creates works such as character illustration, logo & package illustration for kids, women, men and home brands, textile, stationery, and customized projects.

​

Sezin Gedik holds a B.A. degree in Psychology from Koç University. After graduation, she worked in Autistic Association voluntarily with autistic and psychotic kids and teens through art therapy techniques. That art pieces collected by working groups were exhibited in leading art galleries in İstanbul such as Maçka Art Gallery and Seven Art Gallery. Sezin also worked in translation group of Art Psychotherapies Association under supervision of Painter and Art Therapist Bihter Yasemin Adalı for bringing Turkish literature to the field.

Before creating her own small business, she also practiced oil painting with Painter Vedat Örs. Currently, she is working and enjoying in her home studio.
